Stories of everyday Chapel Hillians living through extraordinary times
Chapel Hill Pandemic Stories is a grant-funded project exploring how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted Chapel Hill’s diverse communities. In 2022, Chapel Hill Public Library staff worked with community partners to identify and recruit project participants who represented Chapel Hill’s diverse demographics, including residents from Spanish, Arabic, and Karen language communities.
Elements to explore:
- Interviews. Project staff worked with participants to document their experiences living through the pandemic using photo portraits and audio interviews.
- Podcast. Listen to a special series of Re/Collecting Chapel Hill about life during pandemic.
- Workbook. Document your own pandemic experiences using this whimsical workbook created by project staff. You can print your own or stop by the library for a pre-printed workbook.
