Civil Rights Trading Cards
Each set contains 10 cards. Together they form a mobile timeline, designed for users to learn about Chapel Hill’s Civil Rights Movement. On the front of each card, you’ll see a photograph documenting an event from Chapel Hill’s Civil Rights movement. On the back, you can learn about that event and its role in the decade that changed the face of Chapel Hill.
Sets of cards are available for classroom use or for community groups and special events. Request cards while supplies last.
You can also print your own with this PDF printable version.
These cards were created in collaboration with Chapel Hill’s Historic Civil Rights Commemorations Task Force. This program was supported by grant funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the federal Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the State Library of North Carolina, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
